We offer a long list of services that gives you the care and expertise that is required for high quality aircraft.
Airframe Inspection (Annual, 100 hour, 50 hour, etc.)
These inspections are the scheduled intervals when our technicians spend time really getting to know your airplane, inside and out. From pulling wing and interior panels to in-depth looks at windows, flight controls, and cockpit surfaces; our goal is to make sure we have eyes on every inch of fuselage possible to ensure the upmost in aircraft safety.
Piston/ Turbine Engine Repair and Maintenance
From scheduled inspection items to routine maintenance, our technicians have the skill and experience to keep your engine running at peak performance. By adhering to factory standard best practices and with the support of local engine overhaul and repair facilities, there is not job too big or small for our technicians to accomplish.
Dynamic Propeller Balancing
By measuring propeller vibration small corrections can be made to balance the propeller and reduce vibration. Reducing vibration is highly recommended by manufacturers as it can increases the longevity of your aircraft and its components, as well as reduce pilot fatigue caused by excess vibration.
Paint and Interior Touch-up and Repair
Lakeland Linder Reginal Airport (KLAL) is home to excellent paint and interior shops. Having these facilities on-field allows us to minimize aircraft down time by completing work simultaneously with your aircraft’s scheduled maintenance inspections. Quality paint and interior not only improve the look and feel of your aircraft, but also act as barriers to corrosion and dirt.
Completing a pre-purchase inspection is a crucial step in purchasing an aircraft. This inspection includes a comprehensive review of airworthiness items such as the logbooks, Airworthiness Directive compliance, and other important documents. As well as a visual inspection of the engine, airframe, and avionics for functionality and condition. A quality pre-purchase inspection gives you all the information you need to be an informed and confident buyer.
Progressive/ Phase Inspection
Some aircraft owners chose progressive or phase inspections instead of annual inspections. A progressive or phase inspection requires more frequent but shorter inspections. By breaking up the inspections it also breaks up the high dollar costs of a single event. When time is valuable, Double M Aviation is fully equipped to complete all aspects of a phase inspection. Our focus is to keep you out of the hangar and in the sky.
Certified Aircraft Weighing
Take a look at your latest weight & balance report. Was the aircraft physically weighed on scales, or was it a calculated weight? You’ll probably find the report was calculated when the last modification was completed. While there’s nothing wrong with this method, overtime your aircraft gets heavier due to the compilation of negligible weight items, paint touch-up, etc. Physically weighing your aircraft provides a true weight, allowing more accurate weight and balance calculations to be made, improving the overall safety of your aircraft.
